your words, not ours......
.....very often, a client emails or calls or writes to let us know that they enjoyed our performance at their events. Here are some recent comments;
Jamie Oliver (TV Chef, British Institution, man of few words). Annual staff party, London
Thank you for an awesome performance that got the Virgin Care guests dancing. We will definitely keep you guys in mind for any events in the future, you were amazing & really got the guests dancing!
Suzie Peckham, Watermark Events (Richard Branson’s house, Kidlington. We played in his garden)
I found this band online, but they’re the best F%&!*$! band I’ve ever seen!
Gaby Roslin (TV presenter) at her wedding, on the mic and with full volume (with Gok Wan, Paul Ross, Vanessa Feltz and lots of other people who I really should have recognised).
Lost in Music are an awesome top end band. They were the fundamental ingredient of our party last night. The sets were super slick, there was dancing from the word go and everybody kept dance until the end, even though their bodies were saying stop. The engagement with the band's management was very professional and we appreciated the personalisation. No band, even a famous name, could have topped what they brought in atmosphere last night.
Russell Hipkin (15/6/19, St Albans, 50th birthday party)
Thank you for enquiring about the event on Friday evening. Kevin and the band were fab as usual. They really are very talented and I would recommend them highly.
Mrs Caan (wedding anniversary for James Caan (of Dragon's Den fame) at his house)
Kelly Hoppen (from Dragon's Den). We played for her daughter's wedding. No idea what she said as it was so noisy in there once the DJ started. She was smiling though so I like to think she enjoyed us.
"♪ ♫ ♪ ♫"
Siena Miller. She sang a song with us and it sounded great. We played a song with Jack Savoretti on this gig too.
I had Lost In Music as the band for our wedding in May 2019. We had the 3-piece lounge set for the reception just after the ceremony, which created a lovely atmosphere to kick off the celebration. We then had the 6-piece band for the evening. So many people came up to me to say how great the band was and I have to agree. They had everyone dancing and played songs which many generations could enjoy. They also learnt the song for our first dance which was better than I could have imagined. My husband and I weren't very confident about the dance beforehand but it turned out to be one of the highlights of our day, which is a testament to the atmosphere that the band created. I will certainly be recommending Lost in Music to my family and friends in the future.
Portia & Tristan Maddick (5/5/19, Stone Barn, Burford, wedding)
Outstanding 7 piece band. Played for my wife's 60th. Danced all night till we dropped. Kevin is super organised and friendly. Musicians were top drawer. Hard to recommend more highly.
Gareth & Claire (29/6/19, Sherborne)
Just wanted to send a message of thanks to yourself and your band! You were truly amazing – we thoroughly enjoyed the act, as did all who attended and we would definitely like to have you all back again, in the future.
Jozef Horvath, General Manager, Mablethorpe Chalet Park (13/4/19)
Just a quick note to say that the Band tonight were absolutely Superb!!! One of the Best Bands I have seen in or heard in over 25 years. We must look at some dates for next year and look what else you can offer. Once again please pass on my Thanks to all concerned.
Steve Purchase (6/10/18, Oake Manor Golf Club)
So impressed were we by Lost In Music at a friends 50th birthday party in 2017 that we booked them on the spot for Grant's 60th birthday party. What a fabulous evening they gave us all. So many great comments back from those attending and they will definitely get repeat bookings. They sound far better in action than their videos reflect in our opinion. Outstanding band – thank you all for making our party truly memorable and filling the dance floor all night long!”.
Liz Hartstone (8/12/18, Aylesbury Rugby Club)
I just wanted to say thank you very much to you and the rest of Lost in Music for playing at my ‘do’ last night. We had a great night and I think you could tell that by the number of people on the dance floor throughout the evening. Lots of people commented on how great the band were and were impressed by not just the musical and vocal quality but by the band’s reading of the mood of the evening and involving those present. It all helped to make it a great and memorable evening. Please pass on my thanks to the rest of the band – and hope you had a safe journey home. Thank you too for your organisational skills which were much appreciated.
With best wishes
Keith Rigg (7/7/18, birthday party, Nottingham)

Can I just thank you so much for the tremendous atmosphere, fun and above all music that the Band created for us yesterday. You were all amazing and you just made the evening so special for us. Jane loved everything, but particularly the ABBA set - just perfect for a lady whose favourite musical is Mamma Mia, I took her to see it on Tuesday evening again just to prepare her! Thank you all again, so so pleased with what you all delivered. With kindest regards
Gary (wedding along the walkway at Tower Bridge London, 17/2/17)
Amazing. Well done matey to you and all the team – I really appreciated working with you, on a gig which was very complicated. You dealt with everything with the utmost professionalism, but in a wonderfully friendly & helpful way. Thanks so much.
Alex Howie (agent for the 17/2/17 Tower Bridge gig)
Thanks so much for a great night on Friday! The band was received very well. Two of my guys asked for a leaflet which I passed on for you.
Jo Wuczke (corporate event at Jury's Inn Hotel, Milton Keynes, 24/2/17)
We have been meaning to email you ever since our wedding day to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for being so brilliant at our wedding. You were all fantastic and created the most amazing atmosphere to ensure that everyone was having a good time. The mixture of genres meant that everyone got up to dance and loads of our guests have made comments since about how great you all were. Thanks for all your support leading up to our big day as well – I know I was a bit mental with all my spreadsheets but I knew I was in safe hands with you and you took it all in your stride which was much appreciated. We have some brilliant memories from our special day and many of them were created by you and your band so please do say thank you to them all from us.
With many thanks and best wishes,

It was absolutely brilliant. The perfect band to open our festival. Loved all the interaction with the audience and the music was excellent. Thank you so much for coming!
Stuart Pope (28/7/17, PA engineer at a naturist festival)
They were the perfect opening band to the festival, great interaction with the audience. We had around 350 people and I've heard only good things from our visitors about the bands. They arrived well in advance, were professional and very friendly. We appreciate we are an unusual audience but they were great! Would definitely recommend and definitely worth the money.
Louise Howells (28/7/17 naturist festival)

We are all now recovering and getting back to normal again after such an exciting time. On a personal note I would like to thank you for helping me to have sound for Charles’ speech as without you guys that had been proving impossible, it was a very special moment and surprise for William.
Jane Simpson (12/7/14, 50th birthday, Hurlingham Club, Fulham)
On behalf of Lisa and myself we would like to congratulate yourself and the band for creating such a memorable night for our wedding on Sept 21st. We were extremely pleased with everything you suggested as far as playlist, and the extra singer we got in at the last minute really paid off. The quality of your group has been commented on over and over again by all that attended. We will have no problem in promoting your services to anyone that is looking for a quality act.
Thank you very much to everyone.

Luella Langevad (mother of the bride, wedding, 31/5/14, Berkeley Hotel, Knightsbridge)
I just wanted to let you know how pleased we were with The Lost in Music Band at our Wedding back on 25th May. We've had loads of comments from our guests about how good the band were; and we ourselves couldn't be happier with how the band performed. You were a pleasure to deal with, and the musicianship and sound were absolutely amazing. The track list was great too, and kept everyone dancing right through to the end! I have attached some pictures of the band, and of some of the proceedings on the dancefloor (got to love 'Rockin all over the World'!). I hope you find these useful, and feel free to use them as you wish.
Many thanks again to all of you.
James Wilson (wedding, 25/5/14, St Albans)
We thought you were great in every aspect. The musicianship of all members was spot on, the tightness of the performance and the stage presence all contributed to a fantastic show. We had lots of comments from everyone about how good you were (bearing in mind we had quite a few musicians and a radio DJ as guests). Your understanding about leaving the get-out until after the function was appreciated; not many bands act that professionally at such functions and I hate how untidy it looks having people packing up whilst the function is still running. I would without a shadow of a doubt say you’re one of the best cover bands I’ve worked with or come across (and over my career there have been many) and definitely the best band I’ve seen at a wedding. Fantastic work and would highly recommend you.
Andy Swinney (wedding)
Hi Kevin, this is Betty (back in Zambia). Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to the band and Malachi (DJ). You were excellent and we had a great time.
Thanks very much.
Betty Carbin-Butts (60th birthday party, 30 Pavilion Road, Knightsbridge, 26/4/14)
Hi there, They are helpful, professional and flexible, the perfect band for any function.
Gethin (Drivers Direct, Victory Services Club, London, 5/4/14)
Thank you for your performance on Friday! Great feedback & plenty of people wanting your contact details.
Caroline Cox (Mansfield 2020 Awards show, 4/4/14)
Can't thank or congratulate you enough on the job you did on Saturday. Truly amazing effort and I think the band definitely made the party what it was! Everyone was extremely impressed, and you'll be getting a good review from me. Anyway thanks so much and take care, please pass my thanks to the other band members, particularly the DJ (he kept everyone on the dance floor all night!).
Harry Nicholson (18th birthday, Cheadle Hulme, 22/2/14)
“The most professional band I’ve ever worked with”.
David Collins, Master of Ceremonies annual ball (so he should know, he’s worked with a few bands!), InterContinental Park Lane, London, 1/2/14
Sorry I have been so late in replying to your email. We got back from our honeymoon at the weekend and I was straight back into work so am only just catching up with everything. Thank so much for playing at our wedding. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the band as you could tell from the dancefloor – it was packed for every song!! So many people have commented on how great you were and that you catered for all ages – even our grans had fun on the dancefloor! Hope you weren't too tired for your trip the next day! Thanks again,
Naomi and Paul (wedding, Aylesbury, 3/8/13)
Thanks so much for everything on Friday. The lighting, band and DJ were all perfect. We managed to say a quick hello to Kevin at the end of the night while the band was packing up, but didn't get to speak to the other band members or the DJ in all the chaos. Sorry about that, but please do pass along our heartfelt thanks – they were all great. The music was tailored exactly as we were hoping and they all kept everything running smoothly despite the delays and interruptions.
Thank you again!
Jonathan + Nicolette (wedding, Mandarin Oriental Hotel, London, 2/8/13)
Hope you are well?
Apologies for the embarrassing late response to your email. We were away until 1st July and then back to work with a bump but apologies for being so late.
Thoughts on the band are that you were amazing!! It was exactly what we wanted (apart from the bride karaoke!! ). Everyone commented saying how great you were and how much they enjoyed it.
The music was exactly on brief and it was so brilliant that you had taken our request of the Queen song on board and performed it. It really was massively appreciated.
During the lead up to the wedding we heard Daft Punk ‘Get Lucky’ literally everywhere (and we love it) so it sort of became our adopted wedding song. Joe even played it while he was getting ready with his brothers on the wedding day so the fact that the band then performed it on the night really was the cherry on the top – it was like you knew!!
I have certainly been recommending you to everyone who will listen and if we ever have another function you will have 1st refusal!
Really a massive thank you and hopefully we will be able to book you again soon!
Beth Barber (wedding, Gerrards Cross, 9/6/13)
They were fab, the dance floor was packed. Thank you!!!
Hayley Gomm (corporate awards show at Hilton Metropole NEC for Pampered Chef, 18/7/13)
Just wanted to drop you all a line to say thanks for all your support in making our day on Saturday so special. It’s been really lovely organising our day with such lovely people and you have all made our lives so much easier with your attention to detail, organisation skills and over all putting up with me!
The band were amazing! From the very start of enquiries to the end of the night everyone has been completely professional and great to deal with. There was never a moment when the dance floor was not full and everyone is talking about how brilliant the band were. Thanks so much, you guys made our night fantastic.
Jan x (Janine Terry, 15/6/13, wedding in Tunbridge Wells)
Thank you, it was a fantastic evening amazing everyone had a wonderful time and Lost In Music were great, just the right music. Thanks.
Angela Castle, Prêt A Manger (8/12/12, Christmas party at Old Billingsgate in London for Prêt a Manger, 2500 people)
Lost in Music had a great sound and a huge selection of songs to play throughout the evening. Every time the band were playing the dance floor would fill up with people dancing. Amazing and worth every penny!
Will Bowles, 11/5/13, wedding, Newmarket
The band was fantastic and very nice and co-operative.
One Whitehall Place (24/10/15, company party)
I think everyone had a lovely time and just about everyone commented or how brilliant your band was! Well done! A couple of people even said they wanted to get in contact to book you themselves – so you never know. I think everyone thought it was a success. I probably need to throw another party to use up the 10 bottles of bubbly! (well not just yet…). Please thank the rest of the band from us too.
Ela Packer-Slawinska (7/11/15, Little Kingshill)
I just wanted to say thank you for Saturday night. I thought your band was absolutely superb! You kept everyone on the dancefloor all night and played exactly the right tunes that we needed to get everyone going. The music and vocals were great, very tight, and the stage presence (in terms of entertainment and ‘filling the room’) was exactly what we were looking for. The feedback around work has been really great about all aspects of the event and specifically about you and the band – no bad feedback at all! We’re very happy with the whole thing but the music is so important as this crowd love to dance! We most definitely will be in touch next year if/when we get the go ahead to run this event again.
Leah Curphey (21/11/15, Southampton, party for CooperVision)
Great to have you play for us again, lots of fun and the band was superb again. Thank you very much, we look forward to the next time.
Justin & Heidi (23/4/16, Wisley Golf Club, 40th birthday party)
Thank you very much indeed, both for playing and for indulging the guest who wanted to sing. From the moment you started playing, I’m not sure I’ve seen the dancefloor fill so fast, so you must have done something right!
David Kimber (5/4/16, Association of Teachers & Lecturers, party at Arena & Convention Centre (ACC), Liverpool)
Good Morning Kevin,
I am going to write a “formal” thank you to you for your incredible work… but I wanted in this first instance, to just express my personal thanks to you and your fellow musicians for such a fantastic performance last night. Firstly, it was lovely to meet with you all… the feedback regarding your band and the music [already] has been amazing and I will personally be recommending you to all my friends! Thank you for being so flexible, and so accommodating throughout this whole process. It’s not often you get folks doing the conga (twice) during a “Ball”… but you managed it! I am in awe… and very grateful!
Sharon Collins (28/5/16, Oxford Town Hall, school fundraiser)
